A Professional, Structured Approach

Shaped by years of people development

Before becoming an ADI, I spent many years in roles focused on people development, which has shaped the way I teach and support progress.

Lessons are delivered with clear, focused guidance and adapted to the individual. Progress is built across the full range of driving skills in a steady, structured way, so you can see what has been covered, where you are up to, and what comes next.

The aim is not only to prepare people for their test, but to help them become confident, capable and safe drivers in everyday conditions. Lessons are calm, structured and consistent, so you always know where you stand and what comes next.

"Pauline is an exceptional instructor. I had the privilege of being among her initial students when she was a trainee driving instructor. She demonstrates a remarkable ability to understand diverse learning styles and skillfully adapts her teaching methods to meet each student's individual needs. Pauline is highly supportive and encouraging. I would strongly recommend her services!"

How I Teach

A structured, adaptable approach

My approach is to understand what works best for each person, provide a clear structure, and keep lessons focused and practical.

🎯

Understanding What Works for You

Some people prefer step-by-step guidance. Others like to get moving and build confidence through practice. Lessons are centred on this from the outset.

💬

Clear Communication

Explanations and feedback are straightforward, so you know what is going well, what needs attention, and what comes next.

🔄

An Adaptive Approach

Pace, explanations and support are adjusted according to the individual, so lessons remain focused, manageable and productive.

🌱

Driving Without Unnecessary Pressure

Mistakes are part of progress. Lessons are calm and focused, giving you room to practise, correct things and improve.

🏁

Test-Ready and Road-Ready

When the aim is test preparation, lessons can be direct and focused. Where a steadier route is appropriate, that is equally supported. In both cases, the goal is confident, capable driving beyond test day.

I take driving seriously, whilst keeping lessons calm and approachable.

Lessons are professional and purposeful, but there is always room for a relaxed, human approach along the way.

Waiting List

Interested but no space yet?

I keep learner numbers deliberately low so I can give each person consistent attention and a proper standard of instruction.

If my diary is full when you get in touch, I will be happy to add you to my waiting list and let you know as soon as a space becomes available. Waiting list places are managed through the Total Drive app, so you will have a clear sense of where you are in the queue.

There is no commitment involved in joining the list — please do not hesitate to get in touch.

After Booking

What happens next

Here is what to expect once your first lesson is confirmed.

1

You will receive an invite to Total Drive, giving you access to your lesson history, notes and a clear overview of your progress as it develops.

2

Before your first lesson, I will confirm the pick-up point, what to bring, and any documents needed.

3

The first lesson begins with a simple on-road assessment. From there, the next steps are agreed together — at your pace, with a clear plan in place.

"No pressure to have everything figured out before we start. We agree the plan together on the day."
— Pauline
